Assistance to companies and individuals
We assist Belgian and international companies with applying for work permits/single permits/EU Blue Cards for employees in Belgium (Brussels, Flanders and Wallonia), always taking into account the overall situation (tax and social security, long-term residence, citizenship, …). Our interventions include preparing and filing permit applications for short-term and long-term assignments of highly skilled professionals and executives of multinational companies, but we also assist with Belgian permits for artists and athletes and their staff, as well as other employees. We also handle professional card applications for entrepreneurs, consultants and other self-employed. Visa and Belgian residence permits applications for employees, self-employed and their family members are also part of the service we offer. Furthermore, we also advice on long-term residence and citizenship issues.
Focus on compliance
If immigration is becoming increasingly important in a global world, and also for Belgium, this definitely applies to compliance in a corporate immigration context. Employers and employees must be duly informed about and be prepared for audits. We advise about document keeping requirements and the consequences of non-compliance. Preparation for audits is also part of our service.
Global approach of international mobility
Immigration is becoming increasingly important in a global world, and also for Belgium. We assist companies and individuals from all over the world in determining an immigration strategy and in obtaining the required permits for both EU and non-EU nationals. Through 25 years of experience in corporate immigration we have developed excellent contacts with reputable immigration partners all over the world, allowing us to efficiently handle global/multi-jurisdictional files: the membership of ABIL (Alliance of Business Immigration Lawyers), an international network of renowned corporate immigration lawyers in 22 countries, and of AILA GMS (American Immigration Lawyers Association – Global Migration Section) are 2 examples. Within our law firm we work closely together with the Employment Law and Remuneration teams in order to take into account all important aspects related to international mobility.
