Mediation
Younity encourages alternative dispute resolution, in particular mediation.
Mediation is a voluntary and confidential process of conflict settlement whereby the parties to a conflict call upon an independent and impartial third party. This can be a mediator, or a specialized lawyer accredited to act as a mediator. As from 1 January 2019 the courts and tribunals should play a more active role and interrogate the parties about any initiatives that were taken to settle the matter amicably. If the judge deems the matter can be resolved through mediation, this can be imposed.
